Wilmersdorfer Gespenst, 2021. In Berlin gab es fast den ganzen Winter 2020/2021 über keine Aussperre, aber öfter wechselnde Vorschriften, zu wievielt man zu welcher Zeit wann und wo draußen unterwegs sein durfte. Alkoholverbote und Sperrstunden trugen wahrscheinlich am meisten dazu bei, dass Berlin nachts an den meisten Stellen zu einer Geisterstadt wurde. Ganz alleine unterwegs durfte man zumeist immer dann sein, wenn man dazu einen „triftigen Grund“ hatte. Das Fotografieren war für mich schon immer ein triftiger Grund für alles mögliche gewesen und die besonderen Umstände gaben mir die Chance, tatsächlich den ein oder anderen Geist durch die Stadt fliegen zu sehen. Wie dieser, den ich in einer Wilmersdorfer Wohnanlage entdeckte.

A ghost in Wilmersdorf, 2021. In Berlin, there was no curfew for most of the winter of 2020/2021, but often changing regulations about what time and where you could be out and about. Alcohol bans and curfews probably contributed most to Berlin becoming a ghost town at night in most places. You were always allowed to be out and about on your own if you had a “valid reason” to do so. Photography had always been a valid reason for me to do anything, and the special circumstances gave me the chance to actually see some ghosts flying through the city.
