Photo Book Summer Berlin

The Musuku (Museum der Subkulturen) is hosting the first-ever Photo Book Summer in Berlin! I’m super honored to have been part of this from day one as an advisor, networker, and co-curator for the photobook exhibition “Fragmente der Stadt”.

Where: The amazing Stabi (Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin – Preußischer Kulturbesitz) on Potsdamer Straße

Here is a glimpse of what you can look forward to:

  • Berlin Wonderland – Hidden Treasures: This photo exhibition transforms the Dietrich-Bonhoeffer-Saal in the Stabi foyer into a fascinating cabinet of curiosities. It features incredible works by Ben de Biel, Joe Dilworth, Hendrik Rauch, Philipp von Recklinghausen, Andreas Rost, Stefan Schilling, Hilmar Schmundt, Brigitte Tast, Andreas Trogisch, Rolf Zöllner, and a mysterious unknown photographer named Anna.

  • Berlin Wonderland Road Show: A mobile exhibition displaying large-format photographs from the eponymous photo book, mounted on five specially converted cargo bikes.

  • Fragments of the City (Fragmente der Stadt): This photobook exhibition gathers the unique perspectives of various photographers to sketch a multifaceted portrait of Berlin. It showcases books by Martin Eberle, Wiebke Loeper, Arwed Messmer, Christian Reister, Florian Reischauer, Andreas Rost, Christoph Schieder, Gundula Schulze-Eldowy, Michael Schmidt, Maria Sewcz, Heiko Sievers, Frank Silberbach, Andreas Trogisch, Miron Zownir, and others.

  • Open every day form 17. July to 22. September 2026
Mon–Sat 8–21 Uhr, Sun 10–17 Uhr, FREE ENTRY

Sadly, I can’t attend the opening night myself, but you definitely should!
Opening: July 17, 2026 | 7:00 PM – 9:30 PM

The exhibition runs all through summer until September. Don’t miss the Thousandfold Photobook Fair on Sept 11–12 either — see you there! 🙌
